Initially exclusive to the Xbox, it appears that Titanfall 2 won’t be an exclusive to Microsoft’s console. Not much is known about the upcoming title at this point in time aside from the fact that the developers have never really denied that the next title could be available on multiple platforms. As far as the release timeframe for the new title is concerned, Electronics Arts said in its quarterly financial conference call that the Titanfall 2 release will take place in fiscal year 2017.

Respawn CEO has already confirmed that Titanfall 2 is not going to be exclusive to Microsoft, which means that it will most certainly be available on PlayStation as well. Vince Campella, Respawn CEO, has said that “it’ll be multiplatform.”

Some reports have even suggested that the next title in this franchise is going to have a conventional campaign mode aside from additional weapons.

The title’s publisher, Electronic Arts, has confirmed that Titanfall 2 release is not going to take place in fiscal year 2016, so it can be said that the release is going to take place in fiscal year 2017. This timeframe puts the release window between April 1st 2016 to March 31st 2017.

Given that there’s a significant amount of time before the next title is due we’re likely to hear more about it in the coming months, but for now gamers have to remain content with the original Titanfall on Xbox and PC.
