moto-360-smartwatch-review-3

The Android 5.1.1 update for many Android Wear smartwatches has already been released but the Moto 360, which was one of the first AW devices, is yet to receive this update. Apparently outstanding issues with the software is delaying the launch which means that Moto 360 owners will have to continue waiting for this update to arrive. Motorola has admitted that the update is “not quite there” yet in terms of performance which is why it can’t be released at this point in time.

Responding to a query about the Android 5.1.1 update for Moto 360 on Twitter, the official Motorola Mobility account was asked if there was any news on this update, which has already been released for other smartwatches even those by Sony.

The official account replied that the performance is “not quite there” which is why it can’t be released right now. The company is working with Google to make sure that the software works great on the Moto 360, but putting these final touches on the software could take time.

While ultimately means that users will have to keep on waiting until Motorola is convinced that the software is good enough to be released to the public, the company won’t commit to a release date so it can’t really be said for sure when this update will arrive.
