Samsung has flipped the switch on a new promotion called Ultimate Upgrade which is going to give customers a $100 rebate if they purchase a 64GB Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge at full retail. The company has put up a website for this purpose where customers can go after they have purchased the handset to receive the $100 rebate. With this promotion Samsung aims to cover the different between the 32GB and 64GB models of the aforementioned smartphones.

The company did take a lot of criticism from customers who didn’t like the fact that it had removed the microSD card slot from the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. Customers now have to pay more money for a model with greater storage or manage storage by moving content to the cloud.

Earlier today it was reported that T-Mobile is running a new promotion and is offering customers the 64GB model of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge for the same price as the 32GB model, the promotion also covers the 128GB model which is available for the cost of the 64GB one.

Samsung’s Ultimate Upgrade promotion covers all carriers and retailers, the company points out that customers only have to purchase the Galaxy S6 or the Galaxy S6 Edge from any national retailer or carrier of their choice at full retail price. Only then can they get the rebate. The promotion is being run until July 5th.
