Misfit today launched a rather inexpensive activity tracker that’s also capable of functioning as a Bluetooth-connected smart button. The company also launched a new app today that lets users add more features to the Misfit Flash activity and sleep tracker, the app will allow users to turn the Flash into a connected smart button as well that can perform tasks such as taking pictures, controlling music and much more.
Currently Misfit Link app is only available for iOS and a version for Android will be released in August, it will also enable the Flash to advance slides in a presentation and will soon get additional functionality including integration with IFTTT and Logitech Harmony.
The Flash Link is a $20 activity tracker from Misfit that can also work as a smart button when used with the Link app. Misfit has also reduced the prices of its Flash and Shine wearables. They are now available for $70 and $30 instead of $100 and $50 respectively.
All of these products are readily available for purchase through the Misfit website. As previously mentioned the Link app is only available for iOS at this point in time, Android users are going to have to wait until August to use the smart button capabilities of these wearable devices.
