When it comes to a truly immersive gaming experience, there are many ways to go about it. It could be in the graphics quality of the game, or a riveting plot in the game’s story, or it could be the sound effects which makes you feel like you’re really there, or it could be the lighting of your room.

Now if you’ve never really paid attention to the lighting in your room, maybe you should because based on the video above, it certainly adds a whole new dimension to your gameplay. In the video above, it basically shows how the Philips Hue smart lightbulb was synchronized to a game being played on the Xbox One console.

This was put together by Frima Studio, an indie game developer based in Canada. They have integrated the Hue lightbulb and make it sync with their game, Chariot, which is available for the Xbox One so if you have the console, the game, and the Hue lightbulb at home, perhaps it could be worth taking for a spin.

According to Chris Charla, Director ID@Xbox at Microsoft, “Chariot has been a great title in our ID@Xbox portfolio since it launched into Games With Gold last year. We’re thrilled that Frima is pushing the boundaries with this new technology from Philips Hue and are really excited to see it come to Xbox.”
