At some point over the past week you might have heard the story about a 14-year old boy named Ahmed Mohamed who loves to tinker with gadgets, he was wrongly accused of taking a bomb to his Texas high school when he had actually taken a homemade clock with a digital display. Instead of receiving praise from his teacher the school called the cops on him who handcuffed the kid and escorted him out of school. The internet was outraged and as support and sympathy poured in, so did the wonderful opportunities.

Mohamed’s story quickly gained global attention with millions of people taking to social media to express their outrage over the bizarre episode.

President Barack Obama tweeted in support and invited Mohamed to visit the White House with his “cool clock.” Hillary Clinton called on him to “stay curious and keep building.” Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg invited him to Facebook for a meet. Google’s Jaime Casap invited him along with his clock to visit their team.

Microsoft one step ahead, the company hooked Ahmed Mohamed up with some very sweet gadgets. There’s a Surface Pro 3 tablet in there for obvious reasons, a Microsoft Band, a 3D printer from Cube and much more. He’ll certainly be keeping himself busy now!

Meanwhile it has also been confirmed that the boy will not be charged of any wrongdoing. All’s well that ends well I guess.
