When it comes to wireless charging, there are a couple of different standards in the industry today. This means if you buy a phone that charges on one standard, don’t expect to be able to use it on another charger that uses a different standard. While we wait for some kind of unification, iPhone users who want wireless charging might be interested in the Latitude.

The Latitude is basically a wireless charging case that has been designed specifically for the iPhone in mind. According to its creators, they are calling it a universal wireless charger because it works with both the Qi and PMA standard (the latter is now known as the AirFuel Alliance).

This means that you can take it with you where you go and if there is wireless charging available, like at Starbucks, you can start charging your phone just fine as long as you have the case with you. Its creators are also boasting a charging rate at 1,000mA which according to them, makes charging as fast as you would from a regular cable.

The case comes with all the necessary cutouts so that plugging in headphones should not be an issue. There is even a cover for the Lightning port that can be removed should you want to charge your phone the normal way, or if you need to sync it with iTunes. If you like what you see and hear, then head on over to its Kickstarter page to pledge your support.
