samsung mwc

UpdateFeb 21 is now the official date for the Galaxy S7 announcement.

MWC is taking place next month, something that we’re sure many consumers are excited for. So far LG and Sony have sent out invites to their MWC 2016 press conferences, but if you’re a Samsung fan looking forward to a potential Galaxy S7 unveil, Samsung has yet to confirm their presence, but we reckon it will be soon.

This is thanks to @evleaks who has posted on Twitter what appears to be a possible invite for Samsung’s press conference at MWC 2016. The date says the 21st of February, which means we will be learning about the company’s new flagship phone(s) then. Note that these aren’t the official invites, but they do look official which means Samsung could be planning on sending them out soon.

So far what we know about the Galaxy S7 is that Samsung could launch two variants – the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge, both of which have had their renders leaked recently. The former will be the flat screen variant, while the latter will be a large version with curved displays on each side.

Under the hood, the rumors have suggested that apart from the display size and the curved display, they are expected to be more or less identical. In any case take it with a grain of salt, but would-be Galaxy S7 customers should mark the 21st of February down on their calendars.
