tovalaIt has been said before, that a hungry man is an angry man, although I do believe that this adage applies to everyone regardless of their gender, but one thing’s for sure – if momma ain’t happy, then ain’t nobody’s happy. Hence, keep momma well fed, and all should be a whole lot more smooth sailing in your life. Cooking can be quite a chore these days, considering the amount of work that needs to be put in when it comes to whipping up a delicious meal, but Tovala wants to change all of that by letting you conjure a delicious meal within 30 minutes.

Tovala, a smart oven that is capable of baking, boiling, and steaming meals up to 550 degrees Fahrenheit in a 10 to 30 minute time frame, is the brainchild of Y Combinator. Touted to be a far more affordable alternative compared to professional combination ovens, Tovala is now available on Kickstarter, having raised up most of its $100,000 goal already.

The meals of your choice will arrive prepackaged from Tovala, or you can always fall back on a crowdsourced recipe platform. Tovala makes use of dry as well as wet heat cooking technology compared to microwave technology, to make sure that food gets cooked quickly at the right temperature, and you can even cook different kinds of foods such as chicken, rice and asparagus in the same unit – simultaneously, hence saving more time for other important things in life, like connecting with family and friend while everyone waits for dinner. Pretty cool, yes?
