apple-music-android-1While Apple has released apps for other platforms in the past, it’s safe to say that Apple Music is probably the company’s first real effort at trying to reach a non-iOS audience. Unfortunately the launch of the Apple Music app on Android left much to be desired as there were features and functions that weren’t available on it.

That being said, Apple has recently rolled out some changes to the Apple Music app that will hopefully appease some of their Android subscribers. For starters, there is now support for music video playback. Users will be able to find new music videos under the “New” section of the app, or alternatively they can try searching for it as well.

In addition to music video support, Apple has also included the option that allows Android users to subscribe to a family membership plan. Basically for those unfamiliar with this plan, it allows users to add other family members to their Apple Music subscription. Of course it’ll be more expensive, but ultimately it is still cheaper than 5 members paying for 5 individual subscriptions.

In any case if you’d like to get your hands on the updated Apple Music app for Android, then head on over to the Google Play Store for the download.
