beats solo3Ahead of Apple’s event yesterday, it was reported that we could be looking at new Beats by Dre products alongside the new iPhone and Apple Watch, and sure enough the reports were true. Apple has officially announced a trio of Beats headphones – the BeatsX, the Solo3, and the Powerbeats3, and surprise surprise, they are all of the wireless variety.

Given that the new iPhones do not come with a headphone jack and with Apple trying to promote wireless audio with the AirPods, we guess the fact that these headphones are wireless should not come as a surprise. All three headphones will also take advantage of the new Apple W1 chip for audio output, so in case the AirPods weren’t to your liking, these are three alternatives you could consider.

Starting with the BeatsX, these are pretty much the cheapest out of the three. These headphones are boasting 8 hours of battery life and something Apple calls Fast Fuel, which is basically fast charging and will rely on the Lightning connector to charge. As for the Powerbeats3, Apple claims that these headphones are aimed at more active users and will boast a 12 hour battery life.

Last but not least is the Solo3, a pair of over-ear headphones with wireless connectivity and noise isolation. The BeatsX and Powerbeats3 aren’t available for order yet, but the Solo3 headphones are which you can checkout for yourself at Apple’s Online Store where it is priced at $300.
