microsoft-surface-pro-3__35When new products are launched, sometimes there are issues that weren’t discovered during the testing phase and this is normal. However for devices to exhibit problems long after they have been on the market can’t be a good sign, but unfortunately that seems to be the problem that Surface Pro 3 owners are facing.

Just last month, Microsoft patched an issue regarding inaccurate battery reporting on devices that had the Simplo battery cell. However it looks like battery issues have hit the Surface Pro 3 again, except that this time it is affecting owners who have the integrated LG power pack, and this problem is apparently preventing users from charging their tablets.

This is no doubt a much more serious issue because if your tablet is plugged in all the time, a bit of inaccurate battery reporting isn’t an issue, but in this case, if your tablet runs out of juice, that’s it. Microsoft has yet to make an official statement on the matter, but they have told a community moderator in its forums that they are aware of it.

We have no idea when Microsoft plans to address the problem or tell us what exactly is causing the problem, so in the meantime Surface Pro 3 owners will have to keep their tablets plugged in to a power source if they plan on using it.
