Vizio is a brand best known for providing premium products at relatively low prices. For example, the company’s 4K TVs cost lower than what a similar 4K TV from Sony or Samsung would. The company also creates audio products and today it announced the launch of new premium Google Cast-enabled speakers – the SmartCast Crave 360 and SmartCast Crave Pro.

Vizio positions these speakers are an alternative to Sonos’ multi-room speaker systems. Both the SmartCast Crave 360 and SmartCast Crave Pro feature Google Cast integration. They are fashioned out of aluminum and feature a striking design.

Users get 360 degree, omnidirectional 2.1 audio with an output of up to 95 dB with the $249.99 Crave 360. It also features an internal battery which is capable of powering the speaker for up to eight hours once it’s removed from its wireless charging base. A leather carrying strap is attached to the device but bear in mind that it’s not waterproof.

The $299.99 Crave Pro is more like a conventional 2.1 music speaker that provides an output of up to 102 dB of sound. The speakers have Bluetooth support which makes them different from Sonos speakers that only allow users to either play back music that’s plugged in directly or through Wi-Fi via supported streaming services.

Interested customers can purchase the SmartCast Crave 360 starting today from Vizio’s website and Sam’s Club while the SmartCast Crave Pro is going to go on sale very soon on Vizio’s website.
