According to a recent report, we heard that Apple’s AirPods will be delayed until January 2017. This is a bit of a bummer for those who were looking forward to owning the device, but now according to a report from AppleInsider, they claim that they have heard from their sources that the AirPods are actually still on track for a release by the end of the year.
AppleInsider writes, “However, sources familiar with the company’s plans indicated that internally, there is no official delay until January for shipment of the wireless earbuds. One person briefed on the matter said plainly that there was ‘no way that these are getting pushed to January.’”
Apple had announced back in October that the AirPods would be skipping its scheduled October release. However instead of providing us with a new date to look forward to, the company did not. This has led to speculation and confusion regarding its release, which is why for now it is unclear as to which report might be true.
We can only assume that Apple will ideally want to release the headphones before the holiday shopping season since they would make for a great present, but either way if you have had your eye on them, we suggest that maybe you not get your hopes up just yet and check back with us at a later date for more details.
