Have you ever wanted to buy a Surface Pro 4 from Microsoft but didn’t because you’d rather not have the Surface Pen that was previously sold with every variant of this device? Well, it appears that your prayers have been answered today. Microsoft has started selling a variant of the Surface Pro 4 without the Surface Pen. The company is now selling this variant through its own online store a few weeks after it started appearing at some of the retailers that sell Surface Pro devices.

For instance, Best Buy is already selling a Surface Pro 4 bundle which includes the Type Cover keyboard but doesn’t include the Surface Pen stylus.

It’s not like this is a useless accessory. The Surface Pen opens up an entirely new world of features and interactions but different users have different preferences and Microsoft is adapting its offerings to cater to every kind of customer.

The company previously sold the Surface Pen with all models of the Surface Pro 4 that it sold through the Microsoft Store. However, now you can buy the base Surface Pro 4 variant with its Intel Core m3 processor, 4GB RAM, and 128GB of storage without a Surface Pen.

It’s priced at $799 which is $100 less than the same model which features a Surface Pen. Keep in mind that the stylus only costs $59.99 on its own so even if you decide to purchase it after you picked up this “no-pen” variant of the Surface Pro 4, you’d still save a few bucks.
