As much as Ubisoft had hyped up the Assassin’s Creed movie, it’s safe to say that it did not really live up to the expectations of many. However given that pretty much every video game movie adaptation has fallen flat on its face, we can’t say we’re too surprised, but what if Assassin’s Creed were to be made into a TV series? Would that be better?

The good news is that if you were interested in an Assassin’s Creed TV series, you’ll be pleased to learn that Ubisoft has pretty much confirmed that it is in the works. This is according to a recent Reddit AMA with Assassin’s Creed head of content Aymar Azaizia where it was confirmed that this is something that Ubisoft is working on. However based on his reply, it seems that maybe we shouldn’t expect anything so soon.

When asked about the Assassin’s Creed TV show project, Azaizia replied by saying, “It’s like the movie guys, we will take our time, to get sure we deliver something we can be proud of, but if you wander if it’s on our plan… YES” However unsurprisingly he did not dive into any specific details, but we guess it’s good to know that it is in the works.

There is no word on how the show would be launched and who they might launch it with, although Netflix seems to be a pretty popular choice at the moment.
