Have you ever wished that you could play a variant of Final Fantasy XV on your mobile phone? If you did, then you might recall that Square Enix had previously announced that the game would be getting a mobile MMORPG equivalent that would be developed by Machine Zone, the developer known for “Mobile Strike”.

Square Enix did not mention when the game would be released, but it turns out that it might be soon as Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire has been soft launched in New Zealand via the iTunes App Store. Given that apps are typically soft launched in the country (along with Australia), we guess this isn’t surprising and should be a sign that the official release could be coming soon.

According to the game’s description on the app store, it reads, “Be the hero of your own Final Fantasy XV adventure in the brand new mobile strategy game Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire! Build your own kingdom, discover powerful magic, and dominate the realm alongside all of your friends!”

Unfortunately it seems that if you want to get your hands on it, you’ll need an iTunes App Store or Google Play account in New Zealand, but like we said the soft launch should be an indication that it should be gearing up for a release worldwide soon, so you’ll want to keep your eyes peeled in your local app store.
