Many fans of the first Deadpool movie are no doubt pretty excited to see if the sequel will live up to the hype. However earlier this year, it was revealed that filming had yet to begin which means that any hope of seeing it in 2017 was lost. Part of the reason why is because they were still scouting for the perfect actor to play the role of Cable.

Now as you might have heard, actor Josh Brolin was recently cast as Cable which means that filming can begin, and with that out of the way, it has been confirmed that Deadpool 2 will be seeing a release on the 1st of June, 2018 as confirmed by the movie studio 20th Century Fox. The movie will see Ryan Reynolds reprise his role as Deadpool, and will also see writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick return to pen the script.

However if you recall, director Tim Miller will no longer be helming the movie and instead that role has been given to John Wick’s David Leitch. We should point out that Brolin has also been cast as Thanos in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War. We know that there might be some confusion as to how one actor can play two different roles in the Marvel universe.

However due to the fact that Marvel did sell the rights of certain characters to other studios, like Spider-Man to Sony and the X-Men to Fox, while they are technically still movies and characters from Marvel, they exist in a different cinemaverse.
