Merely days after Verizon and T-Mobile released the Nougat update for the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 on their networks for customers in the United States, Samsung has now started rolling out said update for the Wi-Fi only variant of this tablet in the country. Those who own the Galaxy Tab S2 model number SM-T713 in the United States should look forward to getting a taste of Nougat on their tablets in the near future.

Now that the company has released this update for the Wi-Fi only variant of the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0, many would expect that it would give similar treatment to the 9.7 inch model of the tablet. However, Samsung is yet to confirm when it’s going to release Nougat for that tablet.

Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 owners in the United States will now start seeing over-the-air update notifications on their devices which will inform them that a new firmware update is available for the device.

The update brings Nougat and all of the features that are part of Google’s latest and greatest iteration of Android. Since this is a major Android release, the update for this tablet is hefty at just over 1.2GB, but that was to be expected. Major Android updates tend to be pretty hefty.
