If there is one thing we’ve noticed that a lot of phone manufacturers do, such as Samsung, is that they tend to keep the better hardware and software features to its flagship handsets, meaning that if you’re shopping on a budget, then there could be quite a few things you’ll be missing out on.

Samsung’s Galaxy A series is the company’s mid-range lineup but it seems that it could be getting a high-end feature. According to reports out of China (via SamMobile), Samsung will apparently be adding a Bixby button to their 2018 Galaxy A lineup. What this means is that users will be able to press the button to launch the digital assistant, similar to what Samsung has done for the Galaxy S8 and Note 8 handsets.

Samsung did previously state that they do have plans to bring Bixby to more devices in the future, so launching it on the Galaxy A lineup isn’t really that much of a stretch. In any case this is something that we’ll have to wait and see, since Samsung had also previously stated that they plan to bring the iris scanner feature to its mid-range handsets as well.

Given that the 2018 Galaxy A series is still quite a ways from being announced, take it with a grain of salt for now.
