Apple has long sold accessories for the iPhone and iPads that it has made on its own. These accessories can be found alongside select third-party accessories at the company’s online and physical retail stores. Apple has never made a laptop sleeve before, though, and that’s changing now. The company has introduced a new leather sleeve for the 12 inch MacBook. As you might have expected, it’s not exactly cheap.

Apple has quietly listed the new leather sleeve for the 12 inch MacBook on its website. Customers can pick one up in Saddle Brown or Midnight Blue colors for $149.

It looks like you’d expect a laptop sleeve to look like, with the exception of the etched Apple logo that broadcasts to the world that you’re indeed carrying a MacBook under your arm.

There are plenty of other laptop sleeves that can be had for less than the $149 that Apple is charging for this one, but if you swear by Apple accessories and happen to own a 12 inch MacBook, head over to the Apple Store right now and pick one up.

Will Apple launch similar sleeves for other MacBook models? It’s likely, though it’s unclear when they might arrive. Its customers who own other MacBook models will certainly not mind if it decided to launch sleeves for them as well.
