While Apple Pay has been used to make purchases in stores and also online, one of the features that was lacking was the ability to use it to send other people money, which is a feature that we’ve seen from other platforms like Gmail, Facebook Messenger, and so on, but that was something that Apple was going to change with Apple Pay Cash.

The good news is that according to reports, the feature could be close to launching as Apple employees are reportedly testing the feature internally. Apple Pay Cash was one of the features that Apple announced would be part of iOS 11, and as you can see in the screenshot above it lets users send money to each other.

However the feature was not launched alongside iOS 11 and was instead set for a release at a later date. This is similar to what Apple has done in the past with other iOS features, like Portrait Mode for the iPhone 7 Plus. Apple did not provide a specific date as to when Apple Pay Cash would be released, but if it really is being tested internally, it could be moving closer towards a release.

It is expected that Apple could release it with the iOS 11.1 update which could be released in November alongside the iPhone X, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more information regarding a release so check back with us again in the near future.
