[CES 2018] If you’re someone who’s particular about their skincare routine and stress over things like pores, fine lines, wrinkles, and so on, then you might be interested to learn that Neutrogena has announced the SkinScanner which is a $50 attachment designed for the iPhone that will help with your skincare routine.

According to the company, “Each time you scan, the Neutrogena Skin360 app analyzes your moisture level, pores and lines to provide you with a unique Skin360 Score. Your Skin360 Score changes as your skin does, and you can track progress and improvement over time for healthier looking skin, inside and out.”

“SkinScanner is built with 12 high-powered LED lights, a 30x magnification lens and highly accurate sensors to measure above and below the skin’s surface. It captures the size and appearance of pores, the size and depth of fine lines and wrinkles and determines skin’s moisture levels.”

Basically it sounds like Neutrogena wants to take the hassle and cost out of visiting a dermatologist by giving you a tool that you can attach to your smartphone. Exactly how effective the SkinScanner is remains to be seen, but the company will be demoing it at CES 2018 which kicks off this week, so we’ll find out more then.
