[CES 2018] Gaming mice are a dime a dozen and at CES this year, we’ve seen various devices from the likes of Razer and Corsair, but not to be outdone, SteelSeries has also tossed their hat into the ring by unveiling their latest gaming mouse, the SteelSeries Rival 600, a mouse that comes with a rather unique feature.

Right off the bat we should point out that the Rival 600, unlike some of the offerings we’ve seen recently, is of the wired variety. This means that if you wanted a wireless solution, you’ll have to look elsewhere. However if you’re cool with wired mice, then the Rival 600 has a rather cool feature in the form of a second sensor from PixArt.

What this sensor does is that it has the ability to track your mouse as you lift it up. Many of us lift our mice from time time since during the course of use, it can start to stray. However current systems don’t track lifted mice so well, which can lead to jerking of the cursor and surprise movements, which is something that the Rival 600 will try to fix with PixArt’s sensor.

In terms of features, the Rival 600 will also sport a 12,000 CPI TrueMove 3 sensor, customizable RGB lighting, and is only priced at $80 which actually makes it pretty affordable as far as gaming mice are concerned.
