When Apple first unveiled the AirPods, everyone made fun of it and how quickly people would lose their earbuds. However over time Apple has proven the naysayers wrong as the AirPods is one of the company’s best-selling products, so much so that it has also managed to spark a trend in which we are seeing more wireless earbuds launch in the market.

So far we have seen a variety of truly wireless earbuds, but if you’re a fan of Audio Technica, then you will be excited to learn that the company has finally tossed their hat into the ring with the ATH-CKR7TW. According to the company, these earbuds will feature the use of 11mm drivers that have a diamond-like carbon coated diaphragm that offers up a quicker response and reduced distortion.

There are also built-in machined brass stabilizers that apparently will not only reduce unwanted resonances, but will also ensure linear diaphragm movement. Audio Technica has also engineered the earbuds where the acoustic and electronic components have been isolated from each other to allow for optimum airflow from the drivers.

The earbuds also come with a carry case that doubles as a charging case. The earbuds itself will offer up to 6 hours of battery life on a single charge, and the case will be able to add an additional 9 hours worth. In terms of price, Audio Technica is asking for $250 which is roughly around how much some of the competition is asking for.
