With battle royale titles becoming increasingly popular, it wasn’t a surprise when it was confirmed that there’s going to be a Battlefield V battle royale mode as well. A new trailer has been released for the upcoming title which shines the spotlight on this new game mode for Battlefield V.

It was at E3 2018 in June this year that EA confirmed that Battlefield V is going to have a battle royale mode as well. The idea is simple. Drop 100 players on the map and push them closer and closer until only one remains.

Set in WWII, Battlefield V will stick to the script of the well-received Battlefield 1 by focusing on stories and battles that are not widely known. That’s how it’s going to be in the multiplayer mode as well.

The new trailer released by EA DICE today shows one such lesser-known battle of Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The battle royale mode that had been previously announced has been teased in this trailer as well.

There’s considerable anticipation for this new title as fans are interested to find out how this title carries the baton from Battlefield 1 which turned out to be a resounding success. Battlefield V is due to be launched this October for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
