The other day Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition HD was announced for the Nintendo Switch. It turns out that it wasn’t the only Final Fantasy game announced for the console because during Nintendo’s Direct event, it has been confirmed that the classic and legendary Final Fantasy VII will also be arriving on the console.

That being said it should be noted that this seems to be a port of the game, so if you thought that this would be the Final Fantasy VII Remake that is planned for the PS4, then you might be disappointed to learn that isn’t the case. Of course that doesn’t take anything away from the actual game, which like we said is a classic, but we’re sure that there are gamers who might have probably hoped to see it anyway.

Final Fantasy VII won’t be the only Final Fantasy title to arrive for the Switch. Aside from it and Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition HD, Nintendo also confirmed that World of Final Fantasy Maxima, Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy X/X-2, and Final Fantasy XII: the Zodiac Age have all been announced for the Switch.

Depending on the title, some will be released later this year, while the rest will be seeing a 2019 release (unfortunately Final Fantasy VII will be one of those).
