Given how expensive some gaming accessories can cost, we’re sure many hate it when they get damaged and it’s out of warranty, meaning that any repairs or replacements will have to come from their own pocket. However for those who buy Razer products, you’ll be pleased to learn that Razer has updated its warranty policies.

In a post on Facebook by CEO Min-Liang Tan, he has announced that the new warranty policies by Razer will mean that certain products will now have a 2-year warranty. According to Tan, this is expected to cover mice, headsets, keyboards, and audio products, where the 2-year warranty will apply globally.

This will also be applied retroactively to products purchased from the 1st of October, 2018. “Extremely excited to announce an update to our warranty policies—starting today, all mice, headsets and keyboards globally will receive a warranty coverage of two years. This applies to all qualifying products purchased from October 1, 2018.”

Note that in the case of existing products, the box/manual might state that the warranty is only valid for a year but that is no longer true because as long as you bought it after the 1st of October and have proof of purchase, warranty will be valid for the next 2 years.
