Samsung will be hosting an event next month on the 20th of February where the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 and all of its variants will be announced. The company is also expected to officially unveil its foldable smartphone, and possibly some new wearables as well. Now it seems that according to AllAboutSamsung, we might be able to expect new headphones too.

The report claims that Samsung might have a new pair of wireless earbuds called the Galaxy Buds. These will allegedly feature the “Tuned by AKG” branding which could appeal to users who care more about the audio profiles on their earbuds. It is also expected to be the successor to last year’s Gear IconX where it will start using the Galaxy branding, similar to Samsung’s wearables.

Other than that, not much else is known about the device. However based on what we do know about such earpieces, they will most likely come with its own carrying case that doubles as a charger, and will also apparently support wireless charging. This is a feature that Apple has been rumored to be bringing to its AirPods, but if this report is true, Samsung could beat them to it.

Take it with a grain of salt for now, but this event sounds like it will be quite a busy one with a ton of Samsung product, so check back with us in the coming weeks for more updates.
