For a while now, WhatsApp has a separate Business app for Android devices that allows business owners to communicate with their customers. However this app was pretty much exclusive to Android devices which meant that business users who had iOS devices weren’t able to take advantage of this.

However there is good news because according to WABetaInfo, it seems that WhatsApp Business for iOS devices has launched in beta. The app seems to be similar in functionality compared to the Android version, so if you’re a business owner who is familiar with the Android version of WhatsApp Business, then moving to the iOS version should not throw you for a loop.

WhatsApp Business is another way that Facebook (who owns WhatsApp) is trying to appeal to business users. The company has launched a variety of business communications tools for its products and services, such as Facebook Messenger and Instagram. In fact there was a recent report in which Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg had expressed interest in unifying its message services.

The idea was that it would allow business users to be able to reply to messages from various sources (Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram) from a single location, making it easier and more efficient at handling customer queries. However it seems that these plans will most likely not be realized this year, but it’s something the company is looking into.
