Last year it was confirmed that in 2019, a live-action Sonic the Hedgehog movie would be released. For those wondering what the movie could look like, a series of leaked images might have clued us in. This is according to a post on Hamagami / Carroll, Inc.’s website where the alleged promo images might have leaked online.

For those unfamiliar, Hamagami / Carroll, Inc. is an advertising agency who presumably is working with Paramount Pictures on the upcoming movie. As you can see in the image above, it shows what Sonic could look like in the movie. Now this particular design looks quite stylized so we’re not sure if this is the actual look of Sonic in the movie or if it is just a concept.

It does look very different from the games, namely because of the fur we’re seeing on the character. We know that this might look a little odd for some, but for all we know the actual movie could end up being pretty good. A good example would be the live-action Detective Pikachu movie where while some found the images of live-action Pokemon a bit disconcerting, the trailer has actually gotten many pretty psyched for the movie.

In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully with the movie set for a release this year, we should be able to expect a trailer in the coming months.
