There are different ways that people enjoy music. Some enjoy being able to pick and choose their own music, while others prefer being recommended music and discovering new songs and artists. If you fall into the latter camp, then you might be interested to learn that Spotify’s Stations app has arrived in the US.

Originally launched in 2018, the Stations app was only available in Australia, but it looks like it has finally made its way stateside. For those who are learning about the app for the first time, Stations acts like a radio station based largely on playlists. This means that you can’t choose your songs, but you do get an option to give songs a thumbs up or thumbs down.

Based on that, Spotify will attempt to learn what kind of songs you like to listen to and eventually it will end up curating a playlist of songs that it thinks suits you best. The app will function similar to Pandora where music will start playing the moment the app is launched. For those who are using the free version of Spotify, you will still need to put up with ads and you will have a limited number of skips. Spotify Premium users will enjoy the service for free with unlimited skips.

The app is available for iOS and Android devices so head on over to the respective app stores for the download.
