Ever since Apple introduced the iPhone X in 2017, the company has stuck to the design for its 2018 iPhones and they are also expected to continue using that design with 2019’s iPhones. If you were getting a bit bored of it, then maybe you’ll want to hold off on this year’s models and wait for 2020’s iPhones.

This is because reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that come 2020, Apple will be introducing a brand new design to its iPhone lineup. Kuo does not dive into details surrounding the new design, but he claims that it will one of the three “key improvements” that Apple will be making. The other two include 5G support and also camera function upgrades.

We did hear rumors that 5G could arrive in 2020 on the iPhone and this report more or less corroborates those rumors. Whether or not they are true is unclear. It is also not clear what kind of camera improvements we could be looking at. This is because this year’s iPhones are expected to come with a new triple camera setup so we’re not sure how different Apple could make it.

That being said, Kuo does not mention anything about an in-display Touch ID as being one of the new features. Recently it was suggested that the feature could arrive as soon as next year, but whether or not it will remains to be seen.
