To be honest, we have to say that we are more excited for the iPhone XR’s successor over the iPhone XS and XS Max’s successors. Now thanks to alleged benchmarks, it seems that we are getting an idea of how well the iPhone XR 2 will be performing, although judging from what we can see, it doesn’t seem like that big of an upgrade.

According to the benchmarks, it reveals that the phone will be powered by the 6-core processor that will most likely be the A13 chipset. However, the benchmarks are suggesting that it won’t be a particularly huge upgrade in terms of speed, where it clocks in at 2.66GHz. This is versus the iPhone XR that is powered by the A12 Bionic chipset where it features a 2.49GHz clock speed.

However, we imagine that the A13 chipset will most likely come with improvements of its own, so it’s not really fair to judge the phone’s performance based purely on its clock speed. The upside is that the iPhone XR 2 will come with 4GB of RAM, a 1GB upgrade from last year’s model.

While the iPhone XR 2 will probably continue to use LCD instead of OLED, other rumored upgrades include a dual camera system, which means that it would be almost comparable to last year’s iPhone XS and XS Max handsets, making it quite a steal. Apple will be officially announcing their new phones next week on the 10th of September, so check back with us then for the details.
