Earlier this year, Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk had hinted that video streaming platforms such as Netflix and YouTube would soon be coming to Tesla vehicles. Given that you can already play games on Tesla’s infotainment system, we suppose it’s not a stretch to think that you would also be able to stream video as well.

With Disney Plus being the new kid on the block, would Tesla let users stream from there as well? Turns out that Musk is on board with the idea as well. When asked about whether or not Disney Plus would find its way into Tesla cars, Musk replied that it would be “coming soon”, but stopped short of actually providing a date for its release and availability.

That being said, we have to wonder about how wise it would be to include such entertainment features in cars. This is because it will only lead to distracted driving, although presumably there are safeguards in place that prevent it from being streamed while the car is in motion. However, it also does highlight how far our car designs have come over the years.

For example, our cars are starting to become increasingly connected where some of them even come with their own mobile internet plans. In any case, if you are a Tesla owner looking forward to Disney Plus, check back with us at a later date for more updates.
