Grocery deliveries have always been around, but these days a number of companies have been working on take it to the next level. For example, Walmart has recently announced that they will start testing self-driving vehicles to help deliver groceries through a partnership with a company called Nuro.

According to Walmart, “Our unparalleled size and scale have allowed us to steer grocery delivery to the front doors of millions of families – and design a roadmap for the future of the industry. Along the way, we’ve been test-driving a number of different options for getting groceries from our stores to our customers’ front doors through self-driving technology. We believe this technology is a natural extension of our Grocery Pickup and Delivery service and our goal of making every day a little easier for customers.”

This is actually not the first time that the company is experimenting with self-driving vehicles. Earlier this year, the company announced plans to use autonomous vans to deliver groceries in Arizona. The company had also previously worked with other transportation companies such as Uber to help make grocery deliveries.

Many have been attempting to challenge the status quo as far as the delivery game is concerned. We’re starting to see companies use robots to make pizza deliveries and also drones to deliver packages.
