Make fun of Apple’s AirPods all you want in terms of its design and price, but if there’s one thing that’s hard to deny, it would be its popularity. According to reports and also Apple’s online store, it seems that if you wanted to get your hands on the AirPods Pro, you might have to wait until March.
This is a wait time of about a month which is pretty long for a pair of headphones, although it has been noted that if you were to go to a physical Apple Store, you might have better luck there. You could also try your luck with third-party online retailers, but if you wanted to buy it from Apple directly, you’ll have to wait until March.
It shouldn’t be surprising that the headphones are out of stock. Even when the first-gen AirPods were launched, they were so popular that even back then they were difficult to get ahold of. Recent reports have only confirmed their popularity, where it is said that Apple’s AirPods account for 71% of true wireless headphone revenue for 2019.
It is possible that production could have been affected due to the coronavirus outbreak in China, as Apple typically relies on China to help manufacture its products.
