Back in 2019, actor Ryan Reynolds confirmed that Deadpool 3 was in the works, but recent reports have suggested that maybe Marvel might not be as interested in the franchise despite its financial success, but for those who might be concerned that there won’t be a third Deadpool movie, you can rest assured that there will.

This is according to a report from Collider who spoke with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, where the executive confirmed that Deadpool 3 is indeed happening and that it will be part of the MCU, and more importantly, it will continue to maintain its R-rating. This means that we can (hopefully) expect a similar experience as the previous two movies.

There have been some concerns that when Disney acquired Fox that they would try to tone down movies like Deadpool. Disney is known for creating family-friendly content, so an R-rated Deadpool movie hardly fits in with their image, but the interview with Feige has put those fears to rest.

As to when the next Deadpool movie will be out, that remains to be seen. The script is still being worked on as we speak and according to Collider, filming will probably not begin until 2022 at the earliest, which means that the movie will be released either in 2023 or 2024, so we still have quite a bit of waiting to do.
