Apple is a company best known for its consumer electronics like phones, tablets, and computers. However, if the rumors are true, Apple could soon be moving into the automotive industry by making their own car, an area which save for CarPlay, Apple has not much experience or expertise in.

However, it seems that despite that, analyst Gene Munster believes that of all companies, Apple could actually pose a threat to Tesla. This is a rather interesting sentiment as there are plenty of other more established car makers who are making electric cars to compete with Tesla, but Munster thinks that Apple could wind up being Tesla’s biggest competitor.

In the past few weeks, there has been mounting evidence to suggest that Apple is indeed planning their own car. While this existed as a rumor in the past, more recently Hyundai seemingly confirmed that they were in talks with Apple about a possible partnership. However, it seems that those talks have come to an end after it was reported that Apple wasn’t too happy about Hyundai jumping the gun and making a public statement.

More recent reports claim that Apple could actually announce a partnership in the coming months and before the first half of the year is up.
