With Apple slowly updating its Mac computers and introducing new Apple Silicon powered variants, it did not come as a surprise to learn that Apple could be planning something similar for the Mac Pro as well. We heard rumors that the use of the Apple Silicon meant that Apple could shrink down the computer.

As to what such a device could look like, Jon Prosser of FrontPageTech recently published a video in which he shared some information about the computer. According to his sources, they are telling him that the redesign will result in a Mac Pro looking like the Apple G4 Cube computers from way, way back in the day.

The renders he shared in the video does paint such a picture, although we think it looks kind of like a bigger, stacked version of the Mac mini. It’s not a bad design by any means and could make the computer a lot more portable. Apple did try creating a Mac Pro in a smaller form factor a few years ago, but it seems that users weren’t too thrilled with the odd-looking trash can shaped design.

There is currently no word on when the new Mac Pro will be launched, but the rumors are claiming that it will most likely be in 2022, so if you were hoping to see it this year, you could be out of luck.
