One of the advantages of owning an iPhone and a Mac computer is the AirDrop feature that lets users quickly and easily transfer files from their phone to their computer and vice versa. However, it seems that Samsung owners will be getting a similar feature themselves on their Windows PCs.

It appears that Samsung is getting ready to launch Quick Share on Windows. For those who are unfamiliar with Quick Share, this is a Samsung feature that was launched back in 2020 with the Galaxy S20. It was basically Samsung’s take on Apple’s AirDrop that will let users share files between Samsung devices wirelessly.

However, the feature was limited to just mobile devices back then, but now it looks like the update will bring the feature over to Windows 10 PCs, meaning that if you own a Samsung phone, you will soon be able to wirelessly transfer files from your phone to PC and vice versa without the need for cables and wires.

Ideally it would be nice if it worked with non-Samsung phones as well, but we suppose that’s one of its selling points. At the moment there is no word on when the feature will be released, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more information on when it does.
