Podcasts have been around for a while now, although we guess during the pandemic, people have started to get more into it as a way of entertaining themselves and others online. This is why it doesn’t really come as a surprise to learn that Facebook could be looking to get in on the action as well.

According to a report from The Verge, it seems that Facebook has started to send out emails to users where they are notifying them that come 22nd of June, users will be able to add podcasts to their Page. According to Facebook, this will be a seamless process and whenever you create a new episode, it will be updated to your Page right away, so users won’t have to upload or create links manually.

However, before you get too excited about having your podcasts on Facebook, the company did tell The Verge that for now, a limited number of page owners will have access to the feature, but we expect that it will eventually expand to cover more of the platform’s users. In addition to allowing users to share their podcasts on their page, the company is also expected to introduce a feature that lets listeners create clips from their favorite shows.

This is similar to Instagram’s Reel’s Remix feature which basically lets users take a Reel from another creator and react to it to do something creative with it.
