If you’re using WhatsApp on your iPhone and you’ve discovered that the app keeps crashing for no reason, you’re not alone. This is because many users have taken to various social media platforms to report that they are finding that the iOS version of the app has been crashing rather frequently.

However, what’s strange about this issue is that WhatsApp hasn’t issued any major updates recently to suggest that it could be a bug with the app, and it seems that the beta version found in TestFlight is crashing as well. This has led to speculation that the reason behind this crash is due to issues with Meta’s servers that could be the reason why the app is crashing.

WhatsApp has yet to officially comment or acknowledge the issue, and there doesn’t seem to be any particular workaround for the problem which means that if you rely heavily on WhatsApp for your chats, then you might be slightly inconvenienced until WhatsApp finally addresses the issue, which hopefully won’t take the company too long to fix.

It is unclear how widespread this problem is because on my end, at this time of writing, there are no issues for me so we’re not sure if this is affecting all WhatsApp users or just some. Either way hopefully a fix will come soon.
