The J.Laverack Aston Martin .1R is the result of a remarkable collaboration between one of the world’s most prestigious automotive brands, Aston Martin, and one of the finest bicycle brands, J.Laverack. This exclusive partnership has given birth to what is being touted as the “world’s most bespoke, advanced, and meticulously engineered road bicycle.” Each aspect of this design exudes luxury and exclusivity.

One of the standout features of the Aston Martin .1R is its bespoke nature. No two bikes will be identical, and the exact number to be produced remains undisclosed. What makes it truly unique is that buyers who order through Aston Martin’s online configurator will receive a personal invitation to have their individualized Aston Martin .1R assembled at Aston Martin’s headquarters in Gaydon, UK.

This titanium road bike employs a combination of 3D-printed titanium lugs and sculpted carbon fiber tubes, resulting in a lightweight yet robust structure without exposed bolts on the exterior. Aston Martin’s designers refer to this as a world-first, with the bicycle bearing a striking resemblance to a hybrid of a bike and a sports car. The Executive VP and Chief Creative Officer of Aston Martin, Marek Reichman, describes the Aston Martin .1R as a “titanium hypercar on two wheels.”

At Aston Martin’s Gaydon HQ, new owners have the opportunity to select and install various customizations, matching the brand’s signature color schemes to components such as tubes, lugs, forks, stem, seat post, and handlebar drops via the configurator. The choice of saddle and handlebar type is also available. While the pricing details remain undisclosed, it is expected to surpass the starting price of most J.Laverack bicycles, which typically begin around $5,000.

Although the maximum speed of the Aston Martin .1R may not rival that of an Aston Martin supercar, it is likely one of the swiftest and most robust bicycles ever created. Several engineering and design elements from the $3 million Aston Martin Valkyrie have been incorporated into the .1R, including the bicycle’s 40-micron badges and wheel and stem design processes.

Even in minute details, the influence of the hypercar can be seen, such as the titanium piston caps of the brakes and the machined cups on the threaded bottom bracket, echoing the central wheel nuts on an Aston Martin Valkyrie. The J.Laverack Aston Martin .1R stands as a testament to the fusion of luxury and engineering, offering cycling enthusiasts a unique and extraordinary riding experience with the hallmark of Aston Martin’s craftsmanship and innovation.
