We’ve constantly been hearing rumors over the past few weeks that OnePlus is soon going to launch a new version of the OnePlus 3 handset with upgraded internals. The handset was rumored to be called the OnePlus 3T and that’s precisely what it’s called. OnePlus has officially announced the OnePlus 3T today, as expected, the handset replaces the Snapdragon 820 processor found on the OnePlus 3 with a Snapdragon 821 […]
Tomorrow OnePlus will officially take the wraps off the OnePlus 3T. This will be the company’s new smartphone and it also looks like the handset will be replacing the OnePlus 3 because according to reports, it seems that at the moment the OnePlus 3 is being marked as out of stock ahead of the unveiling of the OnePlus 3T.
Back in September, OnePlus revealed that they were “actively working” on bringing Android 7.0 Nougat to the OnePlus 3. For those wondering what this means and when we might see it being released, the good news is that you won’t have to wait much longer because the update is expected to be released by the end of 2016.
The OnePlus 3 which was launched earlier this year was also one of the few smartphones available in the market with 6GB of RAM. Apart from some hiccups at the start in which the phone did not seem to be utilizing all that memory efficiently, the upgrade in RAM from before was still a very much welcome feature.
The OnePlus 3T is a phone that we have been hearing about for a while now. OnePlus themselves have been pretty mum on the subject but it seems that Qualcomm might have let the cat (or dragon?) out of the bag, thanks to a recent post on Twitter in which they seemed to have teased the handset’s launch.
There have been some rumors recently that OnePlus is working on a new handset that might be launched as the OnePlus 3T. This handset was previously known as the OnePlus 3 Plus but recent reports suggest that it might actually be called the OnePlus 3T. It’s now being said that this handset is going to be released later this month, November 14th to be precise.
Apart from the rumors that the OnePlus 3T supposedly exists, not much else is known about the handset. We have heard that it will pack a newer Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset, but other than that it’s really a mystery. However according to a recent rumor, one of the new features of the upcoming handset would be its camera.
It has been rumored that OnePlus could have a slightly upgraded model of the OnePlus 3 in the works called the OnePlus 3T. We assumed that in terms of pricing, the handset would most likely replace the OnePlus 3 which means that it should cost roughly the same, but apparently we were wrong.
It has been rumored that OnePlus could be thinking of discontinuing production of the OnePlus 3 in favor of a slightly newer handset that last we heard, could be called the OnePlus 3S. However it turns out that might not be the case because according to the latest reports, the handset could be known as the OnePlus 3T instead.
A report from yesterday seemed to suggest that OnePlus could be getting ready to discontinue the OnePlus 3 in favor of a newer device in the form of the OnePlus 3S. One of the rumored features of the OnePlus 3S is the switch from AMOLED to LCD, which is a bit strange considering that companies like Apple are thinking of switching from LCD to OLED.
Have you been trying to get your hands on the OnePlus 3 but you are finding it hard to do so? For those unfamiliar, it turns out that OnePlus might be having a hard time trying to keep up with demand, with the soft gold OnePlus 3 being out of stock and the Graphite model being several weeks back ordered.
There is a lot of uncertainty right now regarding the Android 7.0 Nougat update for smartphones. This is because unless you own a Nexus handset, there’s a good chance that you’ll probably have to wait months before your OEM pushes out the latest version of Android to your handset, and it looks like OnePlus is no exception to this.
OnePlus announced last month that it was suspending sales of its flagship OnePlus 3 smartphone in certain markets due to unavoidable circumstances. It was having a tough time keeping up with demand so the company decided to suspend sales in select markets so that it could normalize supply and demand before it started selling the flagship again. The company today announced that OnePlus 3 sales have been resumed in these […]
India is one of the emerging markets that OnePlus is focusing on with its smartphones. Its latest flagship, the OnePlus 3, has already been out for a few months now but it’s still not available in India with the Soft Gold color option. That’s going to be changed in the near future as the company has now confirmed that it’s going to release the Soft Gold OnePlus 3 in the […]
Just recently OnePlus announced that they were pushing out an update to its OnePlus 3 handset. According to the company, the update is expected to “Fixed the auto-reboot issue. Improved call quality. Implemented various fixes and carrier optimizations.” All of this sounds great, but unfortunately it seems that in the process of fixing things, it has broken things as well.
These days rapid charging features are more or less standard with smartphones. Sure, bigger and longer-lasting batteries would be ideal, but in the meantime we suppose we wouldn’t mind batteries that could recharge faster. That being said, not all rapid chargers are created equal as we find out in a video uploaded by OnePlus.
Earlier today we reported that according to a recent GFXBench sighting, it was suggested that OnePlus could be working on a “mini” version of the OnePlus 3. Unlike other “mini” variants, this would literally just be a smaller version of the OnePlus 3, meaning that it would pack a 4.6-inch display but the rest of the specs would be the same.
Earlier this year OnePlus launched their flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 3. However could there be a smaller version of the OnePlus 3 in the works? Assuming a recent GFXBench sighting is any accurate, it certainly sounds like a OnePlus 3 Mini could be in the works, although that would be rather interesting given the company’s stance.
OnePlus today announced that it’s suspending sales of its flagship OnePlus 3 smartphone due to exigent circumstances. OnePlus has always sold smartphones through an invite system that was widely criticized but it allowed the company total control over supply and demand. The OnePlus 3 is actually the first smartphone it sold without any need for invitations and it appears to be facing issues keeping up with the demand now, hence […]
OnePlus and Cyanogen might have ended their relationship at the OnePlus One, but the good news is that it looks like the team behind CyanogenMod aren’t quite done with the company just yet, and have recently released a nightly build for CyanogenMod 13 for the OnePlus 3. This means that if you’re not a fan of OxygenOS, this could be a good alternative.
