WowWee Cinemin Slice

[CES 2011] WowWee was demonstrating its Cinemin Slice projector/dock for iPad at CES Unveiled. The projector can receive an iPad (and charge it obviously), and project video content from the iPad. It uses a DLP projection system from Texas Instruments. The unit looked kinda cool, although it was also relatively big (drop a comment if you disagree) but it has an in-built speaker too, so we can forgive its size. Cinemin Slice was demonstrated with the iPad, but it also works with the iPhone and select iPods that use the same connector. The projector itself can produce 16 lumens of brightness and it is on a hinge that can be rotated at 90 degrees, in case you want to project something on the ceiling. Finally, it has a resolution of 854×480. That’s not quite a match with the iPad’s resolution, but it is better than DVD-quality.
