TDK Sound CubeIt looks like TDK is really intent on bringing back the old school to today’s modern world. Following up their Boombox from last week, they’ve gone ahead and released a new addition to their Life on Record audio series. This 9.8″ cube has two 5-1/4″ full-range coax drivers and the other two sides are unfortunately only passive reflectors that look like speakers. And if you haven’t figured out by now, the TDK Sound Cube is named a Sound Cube because that’s what it is – a cube that plays music. It has RCA, 3.5mm, ¼” audio jacks, and USB port for you to plug in your flash drives or MP3 players. The Sound Cube can even run on batteries in the event you decide to bring it around with you for portable music – a handy leather strap seems to suggest that it was made for travelling as well. The TDK Sound Cube costs $299.99 and is available now.
