Qt Nokia StoreLast month we reported that the Ovi Store website was no longer using the Ovi logo, and had the Nokia logo instead. Now it looks like the transformation of the Ovi Store has been taken another step further. Nokia has announced on its official blog that the Ovi Store app has been rebuilt and renamed to  the Nokia Store. The app has been rebuilt from the ground up using Qt, features a improved user interface, and is much faster than before.

If you’re signed into your Nokia account, you no longer have to deal with reentering your password at every checkout (which makes purchasing apps much more convenient, but make sure your kids don’t get hold of your phone to go on an app shopping spree). Nokia also mentions that there’s “an advanced an highly intuitive error handling system” for dealing with any purchasing issues.

The update should be automatically pushed to your Symbian phones starting today, but for those of you who are impatient, you can download it from the Beta Labs. Check it out and let us know what you think. Watch a promo video for the new Nokia Store:
