So we know that come 7th of March, Apple will be announcing their next-generation iPad, the iPad 3 (or iPad HD as recent rumors seem to have suggested). But how much will it cost? Well a set of rumors from last week seems to suggest that the iPad 3 will cost more than the iPad 2, a piece of news which undoubtedly did not sit well with many iPad 3 hopefuls. Well thanks to 9to5 Mac’s source, Mr. X (who has been pretty reliable so far), it seems that the iPad is expected to cost the same as the iPad 2 (pricing matrix pictured above).

It has also been revealed that the configurations for the tablet will be the same, meaning that we can expect 16GB/32GB/64GB models, which contradicts earlier rumors that suggested a more affordable 8GB model, although that could still hold true but might extend only to the iPad 2. Either way we will be keeping our eyes peeled, but check back with us on the 7th of March for all the details and confirmation!
