Apple had quite the day yesterday as they announced when iOS 7 would be released as well as the new iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S. The iPhone 5C would come in a wide variety of colors, while the iPhone 5S would come in gold, silver and space grey. In addition to those updates, it looks like Apple’s iPod line has also received an update.

Since yesterday was all about the iPhone, we guess Apple forgot to mention they’ll be updating its iPod line, which includes the iPod Touch, iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle, to also offer the same space grey which they announced would be a new color option for their iPhone 5S. The space grey color replaces the darker slate shade which can be seen on the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini.

Considering just how minor the update to its iPod line of products is, we can easily see how Apple would choose to not mention it during their big iPhone event yesterday. It’s still an update that we’re sure those who were planning on purchasing an iPod would appreciate, especially if you’re planning on buying an iPhone 5S in space grey as well. There’s nothing more fun in life than matching the color of your phone with your music player. Nothing!
